UEFA Euro 2020: Round of 16 predictions
Hey guys, it’s a time of extreme excitement and fun for all the fans of football across the globe, as Euro 2020 has finished with the group stage matches, and everyone is just too excited for the Round of 16 ties, and we can’t wait for them to kick off.
After analyzing
the Group stage matches in our previous post, we are now set to make
predictions for the Round of 16 now. The first tie of the very exciting
competition is between Wales and Denmark, and is evenly matched tie with both
the teams being almost equal in their team strengths, Wales has some talented
and very skilled players like Gareth Bale, Daniel James, and Ramsey, on the
other hand, Denmark has the likes of players like Braithwaite, Poulsen,
Hojbjerg, and Christensen, in this tie, I predict Wales to qualify in the
quarter finals. The second tie is between Italy and Austria, and would be very
interesting tie to watch as Italy being the best team in the group stages with players
like Immobile, Verratti, Insigne, Jorginho and many others face Austria with
players like Sabitzer, and Alaba, and in this tie I think we all expect Italy
to continue their winning run under manager Roberto Mancini, and qualify to the
quarter finals. The third tie is between Netherlands and Czech Republic, and would
be an interesting game to watch as Netherlands has some very skilled players
like De ligt, Ake, De Jong, Wijnaldum, Depay and many more, face Czech Republic
with some very good team chemistry as evident from the group stage matches, in
this tie, I expect Netherlands to qualify for the quarter finals. The fourth tie
is between Belgium and Portugal and is a very intense, exciting, and one of the
most difficult ties in the whole Round of 16, with Belgium’s golden generation
containing Eden Hazard, Lukaku, De Bruyne, Denayer, Courtois and many more face
the last years champions Portugal with one of the world’s best player Cristiano
Ronaldo, and many other skilled payers like Joao Felix, Jota, Bruno Fernandes,
Bernardo Silva and many more, it’s very difficult to predict a game of this nature,
however, I expect the last season’s champions Portugal to qualify to the
quarter finals in this fixture. The fifth tie is another very entertaining and
difficult tie between Croatia and Spain, and both teams having immensely skilled
players like Luka Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Perisic, Morata, Ferran Torres,
Sarabia, Llorente, Koke, Jordi Alba, De Gea, and many more, it’s also very difficult
to say who’s going to qualify from this tie, however, I expect Croatia to be
the dark horse once again and qualify to the quarter finals from this fixture.
The Sixth tie is between France and Switzerland, and is one of the most one-sided
ties in the whole Round of 16, and we can easily expect France to qualify to the
Round of 16 from this fixture. The seventh tie is between England and Spain,
and is again very intense, and most difficult ties in the whole competition,
with Germany containing very new entrants and skilled players like Muller, Kai
Havertz, Timo Werner, Gnabry, Sane, Kroos, Gundogan, Hummels, Neuer and many
more facing England, with immensely strong players like Jadon Sancho, Raheem
Sterling, Harry Kane, Henderson, Pickford, Ben White, and many more, it’s
extremely difficult to predict this game, however, I expect Germany to qualify
to the quarter finals from this fixture. The last but not the least, the eighth
tie is between Sweden and Ukraine, and is quite an evenly matched tie, however,
with Sweden giving a surprise in the group stage matches by not losing a match
at all, we all can expect Sweden to qualify to the quarter finals from this
fixture.
So, guys,
this was all from my side for the upcoming Round of 16 matches, however, it
should be strictly noted that these are just predictions from my point of view,
and should not be used for any kind of betting or gambling purposes. In
addition to the predictions, I am also planning on doing a team wise analysis
for each team in competitions like Euro, Champions League, and the world cup,
so that you are more familiar with the players, the manager, and the kind of
tactics that the team uses, if you want to see individual team analysis, do
write in the comment section, and once again, thank you all for supporting.
