BARCELONA CRISIS: Will Messi leave Barcelona?

  • 1.     After getting defeated by Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of UEFA Champions League 2020, that too by a score of 8-2, Barcelona has confirmed that Messi wants to leave Barcelona.
  • 2.     Lionel Messi has also been skipping training sessions, and is looking highly motivated to leave Barcelona, following a continuous string of defeats in the UEFA Champions league since 2015 season.
  • 3.     FC Barcelona has been spending huge amounts of money in past years, for example, the bought Dembele for almost 100 million, Coutinho for 160 million, and Griezmann for almost 150 million, but are failing to perform in the champions league. After their latest knockout against Bayern Munich, the have sacked their coach Quique Setien, and appointed Ronald Koeman as the new coach, much surprisingly, this is Barcelona’s non-Spanish manager after quite a long time.
  • 4.     Upon his arrival, Ronald Koeman has announced that he will immediately remove some players like Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Rakitic etc.
  • 5.     Furious by these decisions of the new manager, Lionel Messi is said to have decided to leave Barcelona.
  • 6.     Many clubs are interested in signing Lionel Messi, but only a few can afford his wages and cost. The top contenders for signing Messi are Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, and Inter Milan. However, only time will tell what is going to happen, and many fans are said to be protesting outside Barcelona requesting Messi to stay.
  • 7.     However, whether Messi decides to leave or not, he was, he is, and will always be a club legend, he has won countless titles with Barcelona, which include 4 UEFA Champions league titles, 6 Ballon D’or titles, 6 European golden boots etc. His records are the greatest of all time, and he will always remain, for the foreseeable future the best player in the history of Barcelona, and the best player to ever play football.
